About the Role
TLC Political is an award-winning direct response marketing agency that is seeking a Print & Media Production Manager to join our Political Practice. Our Political Practice specializes in custom voter contact, fundraising, and issue advocacy programs for Republican candidates, committees, and causes.
The Print & Media Production Manager will own the entire production process, coordinating with our outside print partners, strategizing with internal teams and implementing quality assurance measures to ensure operational success.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Managing assigned direct mail projects effectively from initial planning to completion
- Interacting daily and communicating effectively with the account team, creative team, and management
- Attending campaign kickoff meeting with the account and creative teams
- Opening jobs in our production management system and maintaining their status
- Reviewing and coordinating production schedules with Account Managers to meet deadlines
- Bidding and negotiating direct mail projects with outside vendors to ensure projects are produced and completed within budget
- Continually monitoring the status of all work in progress to ensure that deadlines are met
- Overseeing and coordinating all work (data, artwork, copy, print proofs, postage, etc.) between outside vendors and internal teams
- Reviewing and routing setups (laser signoffs) and print proofs for direct mail projects
- Ensuring quality and accuracy of production signoffs through the TLC proofing system
- Completing the billing process by facilitating and finalizing costs and invoices for each project
WHAT WE'D LIKE TO SEE
- Bachelor's degree
- 3-5 years of experience in direct mail or working at an agency
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to establish and maintain goodwill with conservative clients
- Effective communication skills, giving you the ability to present information, respond, and follow up on questions and inquiries from clients and managers with clarity
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Extensive project management experience
- Self-starter with a demonstrated capability to prioritize a variety of tasks and think on your feet to meet ever-changing needs and deadlines
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with quick turnarounds
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team
- Adept at problem solving and resolving conflicts
- Results-oriented and team-first attitude
- Inclination to learn and grow professionally
